I was fortunate to be one of the seven local photographers to have our works included in this photo exhibition. The Pavilion, curated by Sabrine S Hakam, with artistic advisor Sarah S Ahmad, explores the concept of 'making space' for underrepresented groups or ideas to shine in public areas.

Rokuro -The Wheel explores the embodiment of Asian Canadian identity and place and the intersection of cultural artifacts, movement, music and history on artistry. This work is a collaboration between choreographers/performers Takako Segawa and Suzanne Liska and composer/performer Heidi Chan.
The live dance/music performance coexists with the staged multi-sensory Japanese-inspired garden created by Jennie Vallis, a tea ceremony for the audience by Momo tea featuring John Ikeda’s ceramic tea bowls, and videos by Yves Soglo in collaboration with the artists.
A three-day festival hosted at Yonge-Dundas Square, organized by The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund and Downtown Yonge Business Improve Area (DYBIA).
Music acts included Blackie & the Blackie & The Rodeo King, Digging Roots, Aysanabee, Julian Taylor, Boggey the Beat, Logan Staats, Status/Non-Status and Noelle.
