Rokuro - The Wheel (2023)

Rokuro -The Wheel explores the embodiment of Asian Canadian identity and place and the intersection of cultural artifacts, movement, music and history on artistry. This work is a collaboration between choreographers/performers Takako Segawa and Suzanne Liska and composer/performer Heidi Chan.

The live dance/music performance coexists with the staged multi-sensory Japanese-inspired garden created by Jennie Vallis, a tea ceremony for the audience by Momo tea featuring John Ikeda’s ceramic tea bowls, and videos by Yves Soglo in collaboration with the artists.
